For my second top artifact, I chose the item to archive in module 8. It was either this one or module 7. Module ten was also an interesting one and a social experiment. However, I chose module 8 because it was interesting, and it related to things dealing with my major Criminal Justice as did my last top artifact, so I am starting to see a trend. I also found it opening and free. It was very real and just a straightforward kind of a no filter assignment. Which is good to see and realize.
I learned that stereotypes change over time and so do people. Not to mention ideas and thoughts change over time as well. As life goes on things happen in life, and some of those things are wrong so a push for change is wanted/done. The black stereotype has always been seen as criminal or lazy people however, that is not entirely true that is what news/media outlets want us to see. However, as mentioned as we progress people want to see change and want the black stereotype to be positive. We have to get rid of the old and bring in the new more positive ideas and beliefs. My classes and this item to archive do/did expand my knowledge on this topic and it creates a belief/want of change and that we are heading in the right direction.

I chose this image because this movement BLM has been a major part of the effort of pushing for a change. A man by the name of George Floyd has also been another person to bring racial inequality to light. It is sad to see that he had to die for it to become a popular topic but that is just the way it is. However, it was not just him, Breoanna Taylor another name, and Eric Garner is another, but there are many more. These people had to pass for a change to happen but as we move forward in life hopefully change and race equality is achieved.
