In the slide I mention that a directive such as the GDPR does not exist within the United States. There are, however, other directives within the U.S. which provide guidelines and best practices in information assurance; two of the most common being the NIST 800-37 and 800-53. Cybersecurity frameworks, guidelines, and principles are all vital aspects of information technology-related fields and it is important that all cybersecurity professionals be aware of common policies used within the industry.
