My name is Kayla DeJesus and I am a senior at Old Dominion University, graduating May of 2020 with my Bachelor’s in English and a minor in Special Education.  I am a special education teacher assistant at a high school in Virginia Beach.  After graduating, I plan to obtain a position as a special education teacher, working with students with emotional disabilities at the high school level.  Eventually, I hope to obtain my Master’s in Special Education to become a behavior specialist or an administrator to help further support students with disabilities in the comprehensive, public school setting.
