Background on Stewart:
Stewart Navarre, retired Marine, business leader and lifelong Democrat, is running for Congress in
VA-01. The son of a small-town farmer, Stewart attended the Naval Academy and began his career at
Quantico. Over his 30 plus year career, Stewart served in Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Argentina, Norway
and other locations around the world. In 2007, he retired from active duty and entered private industry.
Stewart spent nearly a decade as the Vice President of Research at a medical technology company focused
on developing breakthrough treatment to improve behavioral health. He lives in King George, VA with
his wife of 36 years, Yana.
Responsibilities:
\u25cf Assist with and conduct donor research
\u25cf Staff virtual fundraising events or virtual call time
\u25cf Create social media content
\u25cf Assist with political outreach
\u25cf Assist staff as need on other projects as the campaign scales up
Why?:
\u25cf VA-01 is one of Democrats’ best chances to expand our majority.
\u25cb Trump carried it by 14% in 2016, but only by 4% in 2020. Tim Kaine in 2018 lost it by
1%.
\u25cf Join a campaign at the early stages
\u25cb At this point, there is just one staffer. This is a great opportunity to join a campaign early
and gain a peak into what campaigns look like this early.

\u25cb Stewart is a first time candidate who is eager to learn! You will get a chance to learn with
Stewart as he stands up his campaign.
Expectations:
\u25cf Self-starter who is willing to wear multiple hats to accomplish the mission.
\u25cf Responsive and willing to commit at least 5 hours of work each week to the campaign.
Experience:
\u25cf No prior experience necessary; just a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
