students to join our Campaign Fellowship Program. Fellows will work with Delegate Guy and the
campaign team to execute the campaign\u2019s organizing plan. During their time, fellows will gain
insight into the workings of a highly competitive legislative campaign.
The Fellowship program is designed as an 8-week minimum commitment. The campaign can be
flexible with individual start dates.
While the Fellowship Program will be predominately organizing-focused, fellows may be
exposed to other aspects of the campaign, including campaign fundraising and digital
communications.
Responsibilities could include:
\u25cf Assist with organizing campaign\/volunteer events
\u25cf Lead volunteer trainings and Zoom meetings
\u25cf Provide assistance to volunteers when needed
\u25cf Assist with volunteer recruitment and engagement
\u25cf Assist in fundraising research
\u25cf Assist in researching and drafting digital content
\u25cf Engage with voters directly through calls and in-person canvassing
\u25cf Meet daily\/weekly goals and submit reports as needed
\u25cf Other duties as assigned
Skills\/Qualifications:
\u25cf Positive, can-do attitude
\u25cf Strong interest in community organizing
\u25cf Strong interest in learning the inner workings of a competitive House of Delegates
campaign
\u25cf Commitment to protecting the Democratic majority in the Virginia House of Delegates
and keeping Virginia blue
\u25cf Must be available to work 10-15 hours a week
\u25cf Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
\u25cf Access to a computer and cell phone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Willingness to engage with voters and volunteers
\u25cf Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation:
The fellowship can be utilized for community service or school credit requirements, as permitted
and defined by an applicant\u2019s school or academic institution. The fellowship is unpaid.
