Glenn Youngkin for Governor is currently seeking interns interested in politics and wanting to learn more about the political process.
This internship will allow students the opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of a political campaign and provide them with opportunities to learn about what it takes for a candidate to successfully run for office. Students will work directly with experienced staff in the field and use the latest data to help get Glenn Youngkin elected the next Governor of Virginia.
Interns will get an up-close and in-depth look at:
\u2022 Political campaigns and organizing
\u2022 Voting: the processes of how to vote and persuading others to vote
\u2022 Campaign platforms, policies, and initiatives
\u2022 The different levels and types of political office
\u2022 Aspects of candidates running for political office
Interns will learn and develop the following skills:
\u2022 Data use and management
\u2022 Team leadership and management in a work environment
\u2022 Becoming a community leader
\u2022 Networking: building a network outside their comfort zone
\u2022 Event organization
The internship is running from now through November 2nd, 2021. Hours are very flexible and can accommodate busy schedules.
