ODU is relaunching the Virginia General Assembly internship in the Spring 2023 semester. These internships are some of the best on campus.\u00a0 I strongly encourage you to apply.\u00a0 The fabulous aspect is that because members of the Virginia legislature have limited staff assistance, interns who develop a reputation for competence can end up involved with VERY interesting work.\u00a0 The application deadline is October 22nd.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The internship provides knowledge and hands-on experience with the legislative process through working full-time with state legislators during the General Assembly session. The session runs between\u00a0January 9, 2023 through February 26, 2023<\/strong>. Working closely with legislators and their staff, interns develop professional skills while strengthening their political knowledge and gaining a unique understanding of Virginia’s General Assembly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n ODU will provide housing in Richmond, and this is a paid internship. Typically students who complete the internship for credit receive six credit hours of internship credit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
