Dr. Steel is a Senior Lecturer teaching Cell Biology, Fundamental Biomolecules, Immunology, and Research Methods for MonarchTeach at Old Dominion University. She is also Co-Director of the MonarchTeach program, which prepares future middle- and high- school STEM educators. Dr. Steel holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focused on how the immune system responds to viral infections of the brain and in commercially-funded dermatology research.
