Too young to be a preschool teacher.
While doing my first assignment, I didn’t know how much information I would learn. The first assignment was to discuss the four types of heuristics. I learned a couple of things about this assignment: how much heuristics people use in a day without actually thinking about it. The one that I have seen myself using the most was availability heuristics. Once I have seen myself using it, I would try to stop myself, but I learned that it’s a mental shortcut, which I naturally do. I also found how interesting it was for me to see others use heuristics without knowing what a heuristics was. I also learned that it is mentally impossible to not live a life without using a heuristic. Once I learned the four heuristics, I started to see them everywhere. For example, I work at a preschool, and the parents saw me and noticed how young I look. They would always ask me if I was a volunteer or was I there to drop off or pick up my younger sibling. Once I told the parents I was a teacher, they looked so surprised, and the next question was how old I was.
Another example was I decided to go with my dad for a weekend. He fixes up cars and resells them, but I never knew where he got the car from other than people off websites. He takes me to this lot, and there are 30 people out there. I soon start hearing people bid, and I was excited. I was eager to know where my dad got all the cars from and what type of heuristics was being used.
