How should we approach the development of cyber-policy and infrastructure given the “short arm” of predictive knowledge?

When developing a fact, is that a security and infrastructure policies is important to adapt for thinking, and adapted approach to remain resilient to further developing cyber threats. The first way that we can do this is by adapting a risk based approach when developing organizational policies. This is a good approach when considering that these risks can impact important asset and operations. when a routine risk assessments occur and allows for cyber security professionals to understand where to properly allocate resources to mitigate these risks. And while these risks are being made, there needs to be constant updates to existing policies. Giving the pace add which technological advancements are happening there needs to be constant, revising of the existing policy to remain up-to-date in resilient. Another way that we can stay prepared for cyber threats is by collaboration nationally, but also internationally. When there is a relationship between between cyber professionals within academia or the federal government, it allows for increased awareness of different, cyber threats that may impact them. Social media has become common place and the lives of billions of people globally. It’s so developing international policies and relationships are extremely important. When doing this, it allows for global cyber threats to be tackled together and promote cyber security regulations and standards that make cyberspace safer. While this is a fantastic approach, on a global scale, it would all be wasted, if cyber professionals are not educated on this rapidly changing landscape. It is important that proper time and resources are invested into initiatives that educate cyber security professionals. When this is done, the cyber literacy and resilience of these professionals increase resulting in an overall safer cyberspace. The last thing that I believe is needed to be safe from cyber threats is to adopt some of these new technologies. As mentioned before, there are constant developments that are being made in cyberspace and adapting these new technologies, and understanding them will allow for organizations to better counteract them.

Overall, developing and revising cyber policies and infrastructure as needed to remain resilient, in a constantly changing cyberspace. There needs to be a collaboration, globally, down to internationally to stay aware of evolving, cyber threats and challenges
