Maslow’s hierarchy of needs asserts that for someone to reach self fulfilment there are preceding levels that need to be made. With the last being Self-actualization when the preceding steps are met then one can reach self-actualization. In this step, finally reaches their true potential since they don’t have to worry about their other needs. With technology, this could mean using technology to improve oneself. Such as using tutorials, or using it to make money, essentially help complete you.

 Esteem needs is something many struggles with but can be achieved even with the help of technology.  One way technology can impact one’s self esteem Is through social media. Currently, influencers create posts on social sites due to the large crowd that they draw in. People in these positions come with great power due to the sway they have on people and their esteems. Not to mention, instances where someone is subjected with cyberbullying. With the help of love and belongingness the prior needs can be met. needs: Technology has made it possible for people across the world to connect with each other, without this many relationships wouldn’t be possible. Social media is an example that allows for interactions with millions of people every day.

For safety needs, I expect my device to run as normally since I am mindful of the social sites that I access. In the event that my devices were compromised I would be extremely anxious since I have sensitive information on it but I would take it to a professional to see what caused the problem. Or put myself in a situation that may lead to my physical safety at harm. Connected with safety needs is Physiological needs. In the realm of technology meeting one’s physical needs would mean having access to a cellular device or internet. For many Americans, these two things are vital for life and going without them could have devastating consequences. Personally, I believe that I rely heavily on my phone since I use it for most of my daily activities.
