The research conducted in the Health, Behavior, & Technology (HaBiT) Lab is broadly related to physical and mental health and behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much of our research tries to understand states and experiences (for example: mood, symptoms, behaviors) in people’s everyday lives<\/strong>. We use this information to inform theory, enhance understanding of behavior and disease processes, and improve interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although not always necessary, often the research studies we conduct utilize one or more type of technology, including mobile technologies<\/strong>, such as smartphones, tablets, or wearable sensors. This allows us to collect information from people as they are going about their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our research focuses on a variety of adult populations with a range of life experiences, conditions, and concerns. The studies we conduct often have a health equity focus<\/strong>, where we aim to understand factors that contribute to the health and well-being of minority-identified individuals, including sexual minorities and racial\/ethnic minorities.<\/p>\n\n\n
