Stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination were very interesting to me. A lot of people tend to stereotype about things that black people do. All black men are not thugs and all black women do not have nappy hair. This is a stereotype I have heard for the longest time and it is not true at all. You can stereotype people based on their race or what other people have done in the past. All people are not the same. Just like sometimes black people are followed when they’re minding their business in stores because the employee’s think they’re going to steal something. This is in fact discrimination and it is no right to look at someone based on tht color of their skin or what they have on.

I would have to say that attitudes would come next simply because I learned a lot. An attitude is something we all get from time to time when things don’t always go the way we want them too. I know personally for me the smallest thing will cause me to have an attitude. For example, when it’s hot outside I get an attitude because I absolutely hate the heat. Another would be if I ask someone to do something for me and they take their precious time to do it then I get an attitude because if I would’ve known they were going to be slow then I would’ve done whatever it was myself. Attitudes can change a person’s whole mood as well as the people around them.

Module 9 which was liking, love, and other close relationships were another one my favorite artifacts. I love being able to have close relationships with people because it makes me feel good. I know that I will always have someone in my life no matter what. For example, my relationship with my mom is super close. I feel like I can talk to her about anything and I know she will always be there for me. Another thing is that like and love are two different things. For example, when getting to know someone you start off as liking them. Then later on you develop feelings and that’s when you start to realize that you love that person.

I would groups and individuals would be next as far as my favorite topic. Sometimes things are meant to be done individually or in groups. Personally I don’t like being in a group because I don’t like depending on others to do things for me. I like working individually so I know that I am held accountable for my work. Working in groups can be nerve racking at times because not everyone likes to do their part of the work. Then someone has to end up doing more work because that person doesn’t participate. I am more of an individual person anyway. I like to stay to myself and do things alone.

Aggression is something that not many people can handle. Aggression is almost like built up anger that needs to be released. Some people get aggressive when put into difficult situations. For example, people with anger problems tend to get aggressive when something doesn’t go their way. Sometimes being aggressive can push away the people you love most because they don’t know what to think. They tend to get scared or afraid because they don’t know what you might try to do. I liked learning about this because it make me realize that this is a real thing people deal with on a daily basis.
