Being from Richmond everyone I knew went to VCU especially if they were intended nursing majors. I wanted a chance to get away from my hometown so I can grow and be independent. I wanted to be independent but also not too far away from home so Old Dominion University was the perfect distance. ODU stood out to me because the campus was gorgeous, the school is very diverse and they offer great programs. Originally I wanted to major in elementary education because I had two years of experience teaching, but I then decided to go with nursing and ODU offers a great nursing program. In my free time I love to be outdoors, especially near the beach!
