Some of the disciplines, I have noticed in these 50 cybersecurity jobs are critical thinking, strategy, thinking collaboratively, and always seeking more knowledge.
The two jobs that I’m interested in are Network Security Administrator and Cyber Intelligence Specialist. The skills required for Network Security Administrator is to make sure to protect an organizations network and software for computers and the variety of servers for the organization. Their job is also to create a healthy and secure working environment, so IT professionals can work at a successful business level.
Administrators do this, by developing policies and systems to protect the organizations networks and teaming up to identify weak points and install firewalls. The skills required to be a Cyber Intelligence Specialist is to make sure information security professionals who use their skills and studied knowledge in network administration and network engineering are able to protect criminals, such as hackers and developers of harmful software. This jobs requires a lot of research collecting information about criminal activities from hackers. They also are responsible to plan ahead for future criminal attacks based of the already known evidence of what has happened.
These two careers are not easy it requires years of education such as: multiple certifications, a trustworthy track record, and years of experience. The reason for this, is the organization or company has to be able to rely on you, because they are trusting with the security of their company. These jobs have the potential to be a very fulfilling one for the right kind of person, since it means protecting important information against those who strive to destroy or abuse it.
Cybersecurity workers are major contributors for any company, and it’s a career that will be around to enjoy as long as the Internet continues to run the world. Though I do not have a big surprise, it’s very encouraging to see and research the future of cybersecurity.
