Artifact #5

I chose this image because time is a warped illusion, in my opinion.

For this activity I did not have any variations in my results. I would wait the same amount of time, ten minutes, for each target person. I believe that everyone holds the same amount of importance in my life and deserve the same amount of time. I may value each target person differently in reference to respect, however, in terms of time I value each the same.

Artifact #4

I chose this image because I often present myself in a closed body language stance.

What I took away from the video “Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are” is that body language is very important in how you portray yourself as a person. The video suggests that the way people present their body language differs from the way others from different cultures present their body language. This is another important way for people in general to communicate emotions without speaking.

Artifact #3

I chose this image because it was the chart used for this activity.

For this exercise, my partners and I’s answers vary only minutely. We have similarities in the System engineer, Make-up artist, Designer, Architect, Mechanic, Pilot, Baby sitter, Taxi driver, School teacher, Lawyer, and Doctor. The differences were with the professions of Chef, and Dancer. I was surprised by his response to the Chef profession being a female and a Dancer being a male. It is interesting to see how other people from different backgrounds can think of jobs and the traditional gender that goes along with it.

Artifact #2

I chose this image because it feel it represents my culture.

I chose this image because I believe it represents my culture. I don’t feel that I really have a culture. The socially acceptable explanation is that I am a white girl and I like basic white girl things, such as Starbucks coffee. I’m not uber obsessed with Starbucks coffee as some others may be, but to each their own. I don’t necessarily feel that Americans have a culture, other than what has been borrowed from other cultures.

Artifact #1

I chose this image because it is a visual of my favorite band Ghost.

The one thing that tends to always make me happy is music. It doesn’t matter what point in my life I was at, music was always there to make me happy. I don’t think happiness relates better to physical health. I think happiness can lead to better physical health. If I am in a better mood I tend to feel better physically.

I believe this archived item is my favorite because of how much I think music affects my, as well as others lives. Music is very important for affecting someone’s mood. It is one of the most suggested means of therapy.
