Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
Exploring Culture
I learned about exploring other cultures through the lingo learning culture exploration section in my textbook. One of things I learned was that there still are a lot of associations between professions and gender roles. It is like this in hispanic cultures with jobs and athletics. I also learned that there are certain dishes and meals that bring people together. I really like this because I wish we had this more in the U.S.
The practices helped me because it helped me gain a better multicultural perspective. The practices made me realize how more ritualistic hispanic cultures are and it is so cool.
Engaging in Communities
It is very important to engage in your community and the global community because it helps you get connected with more people and experience other cultures.
Interpersonal Communication
TalkAbroad is where we speak with Spanish speaker for 15 minutes in Spanish. We interact with each other and talk about our life. It is very useful because it allows us to bring what we have learned in Spanish to life. In my first talk abroad activity I was hesitant with formulating Spanish sentences and saying them out loud to a Spanish speaker. On my second talk abroad it was so much better. I was much more confident and did better. Doing the talk abroad helped me a lot with formulating sentences.
Presentational Speaking
One of the presentational speaking projects I did was when I presented about my family. In the video presentation I talked all about each one of my family members. This project really helped me understand how to present in Spanish and how to talk about my family.

Presentational Writing
One of the projects I did was a infographic of mental health. In class I wrote it all in Spanish. I gave my advice on how to better ones mental health in Spanish and I also explained what mental health is. I really enjoyed this project because it allowed me to know how to speak about mental health in Spanish It is extremely important. I got so much better at my Spanish through this project.

Interpretive Reading
This year I did many reading, vocabulary, and grammar assignments. After all the assignments we would do a test to see our understanding. The tests helped me study for what we learned from the readings, vocabulary, and grammar assignments in that particular unit. The tests really helped me study Spanish.
