She plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on trauma and comorbidities. Her interest in trauma stems from her service in the Virginia Army National Guard and the stories of her fellow service members. She was accepted into grad school for Occupational Therapy (OT). Throughout her coursework, she has developed a research interest on the relationship between mind and body. She is currently a Master&#8217;s student in ODU&#8217;s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and eventually wants to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is particularly interested in epigenetic markers associated with PTSD and preventative treatments for high-risk populations. She is also interested in child and adolescent psychology. She is a veteran of the Army National Guard and a mom of two humans and four dogs. During his service and undergraduate studies, he developed a range of interests spanning affective psychopathology, cognition, and beliefs. Given the alignment between his interdisciplinary focus and the TRAC lab\u2019s multidisciplinary approach, he seeks research experience in preparation for pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She is particularly interested in the relationship between the brain and behavior.
