My name is Harold B. Vernon. I am a student of cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. In terms of temperament, I would describe myself as a quick learner and a fair leader. This makes me an ideal candidate for a variety of positions in cybersecurity, a setting where one never truly stops learning even if one is at the top of leadership. In dealing with other people, I try to understand things their way. However I do not stray from standards of ethics that I apply universally.
Over my studies at Old Dominion University, I have gained a proficiency in several skills related to cybersecurity. These range from cursory knowledge of Python to a deeper knowledge of analytical writing to an understanding of the terms employed in the world of cybersecurity. These skills are elaborated on in greater detail in the page on my Three Main Skills.
As for personal information, I am twenty-three years old. Born in Virginia and lived there for most of my life until moving to Alabama during my last semester in college, where I was studying for a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. For my first two years in college, I studied at Virginia Peninsula Community College before finishing my degree at Old Dominion University. I believe integrity to be an important trait for people to have everywhere and attempt to maintain it in my work as a cybersecurity professional.
