In my degree program, I gained proficiency in a variety of skills related to cybersecurity both directly and indirectly. My approach was different from the interdisciplinary approach that many take in their degree program, focusing primarily on technical mastery and formation as a professional capable of clearly and cleanly articulating points. The three main skills I learned were analytical writing, python mastery, and cybersecurity tool use. All three of these can be directly connected to the practice of cybersecurity as a professional discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I learned analytical writing in classes such as CS 465, CRJS215S, and CYSE495. These three classes taught analytical writing differently, but all reinforced how one should write reports and professional analyses. I was taught to be concise without shying away from detail. I was taught also to use veritable sources in the requirement for references that these classes and others gave. This is why I chose work from those three classes to showcase my skill in analytical writing.
