NIST provides organizations with a basic understanding and overview of the basics or physical and networking security. The guidelines, although considered a baseline, are a wonderful starting point in any organization’s security.
Through the use of NIST, organizations using it can be almost guaranteed that their private information will stay private and their public information will keep being public more often than before it was put in place.
Hopefully, when I get my dream job, the first thing I will do before introducing my own security skeleton will be to implement the most relevant security forms of NIST into my future workplace. This will make sure that while I work on an even more secure security form, NIST will keep me covered while I focus on the task at hand as a security architect.
