As more and more expensive and sophisticated equipment gets put into common offices and buildings, it begins to become much more enticing to those who do not have these things, or to those who commit theft for profit in resale, meaning workplace deviance through theft.

     Whether it may be intentional or not, these more sophisticated devices might be the cause to destruction of property through misuse of technology or anger in failure to operate said technology. This workplace deviance, though normally not done with the purpose of disrupting the workplace environment, is still as important to prevent as theft or other deviance done with a purpose.

     The final common deviance in the workplace due to newer technology might be blaming others for misuse of technology, especially if the technology is expensive, leading to a social disruption of relationships within the workplace.
