The major I am pursuing is Nursing. I am pursuing this major because I love to help the vulnerable in society. I hope to someday become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner. I have had some experience in this field by working in a nursing home, that was where I discovered my true passion for nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I do not get into my intended major which is nursing, I am going to change my major. my parallel major is Environmental Health (B.S.E.H.). An interesting fact about this major is that you learn the evaluation and management of factors that impact the environmental health of the community and the safety and health of people in the workplace. One career I can do with this major is industrial hygiene. Industrial hygiene is the science of protecting and enhancing the health and safety of people at work and in their communities. Industrial hygienists analyze identify and measure workplace hazards or stresses that can cause sicknesses impaired health or significant discomfort in workers through chemical-physical ergonomic or biological exposures.
