The major I am pursuing is dental hygiene. I chose this major because I love the detail oriented aspect that is required to be a dental hygienist, and I wanted to be in a profession that helps others. I also grew up with problematic teeth so I was always in and out of dentist offices and orthodontist offices. I had two sets of braces, two sets of Invisalign retainers, a permanent retainer as well as many teeth removed. I grew an appreciation for the profession and, and wanted to give others to others what these health professionals have given me; confidence, health and positivity. I however, do not have any experience in the field yet.
