Mrs. Diana Is A Chief Nursing Officer For Lifelong Health At Riverside Health System. She Became A LPN Before Starting Her Nursing Career. She Has Her Associates Degree In Nursing and Is A Licensed Nursing Public Administrator. What Inspired Her To Get Into Health Care Is Her Close Relationship With Her Grandmother and Her Wanting To Make A Difference. She Started Her Path To Becoming A Nurse By Attending Kent State University Then Attending A Community College. She Had To Become A LPN First Since She Was Screened Out Of Nursing School. After Getting Her Associates Degree In Nursing She Started Work In a 675 Bed Geriatric Center Then Became A Director Of Nursing In A Small Nursing Home. Mrs. Diana Then Moved And Became A Director Of Nursing At A Facility In Suffolk. There She Became A Nursing Home Administrator And Took On Positions Of Administration In Long Term Care. She Is Responsible For A Division Part Hospital System Including, Nursing Operations, Administrative Duties As Nurses, Clinical Quality, Building Systems and Processes, Customer And Resident Engagement, Making Sure The Best Services Are Provided And The Quality Is Excellent. Her Most Rewarding Aspect Of Her Career Is Mentoring Up And Coming Leaders To Maybe See Things In Themselves That They Don’t See. Her Having More Reliance Than She Though Really Surprised Her. Since The Pandemic, Learning How To Navigate The New Employee Market and Finding Good Staff Is Really Challenging. Words Of Advice She Shared Is To Make Sure To Get Into Health Care For The Right Reasons And To Not Do It For The Money. From Interviewing Her I Really Learned That Getting Into The Right Career Takes A Lot Of Hard Work And Dedication.
