  • Observe the pediatric population in an outpatient setting for clinical intake sessions assessing medical history, areas of concern, family information, family system, previous diagnoses/referrals, and accommodation requests for school for learning/intellectual disabilities.

  • Gather and collect roadside driver and passenger data at various locations around the Commonwealth of Virginia for two grant-funded projects through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. This consists of Driver and Passenger seatbelt use and additional variables (e.g., driver and passenger gender, cell phone usage, weather.)
  • Conduct quality control assignments to ensure accurate data collection from primary field data collectors.
  • Provide assistance in laboratory tasks such as cleaning, laboratory functioning, and organization.
  • Provide on-call coverage, and supervise over 50 field setting conditions approximately 12 hours a week (such as weather, traffic, hazards, etc.) to ensure efficient data collection and safety for primary field data collectors.
  • Create routes for various site locations via Google My Maps for selected field settings.
  • Code data in preparation for computer entry via Microsoft Excel.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered, and compare data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Maintain logs of completed data entry/verification and on-call coverage information.

Emotion Research & Psychophysiology Laboratory, Undergraduate Research Assistant

  • Administer Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiography (ECG) electrodes and necessary equipment on research participants to collect research data.
  • Connect EEG and ECG electrodes to the AD-Box, and analyze the participants’ data using BioSemi Acquisition Software (ActiView).
  • Screen potential subjects to determine their suitability as research participants.

  • Constructed a survey to observe participants in a naturalistic setting from class prompted by measuring the association between mask-wearing behaviors and duration of mask-wearing during COVID-19.

Housing and Residence Life, Resident Assistant
