At ODU I am pursuing nursing. I chose nursing because my sister is a nurse and I have always looked up to her. It is also because healthcare is one of the top career choices to go into. at first I intended to major in either biology ir psychology and then go to med schools to become a doctor however, I don’t want to spend more time and money because I am eager to get my medical career started. I believe I could be a great nurse because of my caring nature. I have taken care plenty of strangers at college parties. Overall I care about people and whether or not they are okay physically or mentally. So far I have not had any experience in nursing besides taking care of others who are drunk and giving medicine to my pets. I however, do intend to do volunteer and work at hospital in order to gain experience and heighten my chance of being accepted into the nursing program.
