STOP THE BLEED
At the Stop The Bleed event with my friend, Girely. We learned how to pack wounds on fake legs and practiced how make tourniquets on each other! In the end, we got to have tourniquets of our own in case of an emergency!

FORT MONROE
At Fort Monroe with my professors and fellow history students. Learned about the history of the Fort, which helped me prepare for my upcoming exam at the time! I felt this event helped me create a closer relationship with my professors.

Literary Festival
At the literary fest where I got to meet Deborah Wallace. Wallace is an Emmy-nominated Writer, Director, Producer and Performer. I got to see her upcoming play “HOMEsick.”

Barry Art Museum
My friend Girely and I went and visited the Barry Art Museum. We got to explore and see different types of art and we were able to create and hang up art of our own!

Got Milk?
In groups we got to test different types of milk to determine the mircoplastics in our food products. My friends Natalie and Rex were in my group and we tested the Flaxmilk.

Movie Night
At Professor Lopez’s movie night! We got to hangout and eat pizza and view the movie “The Doctor” and together we related the movie to the three sociology theories.

Blood Pressure
I got to learn how to take Blood Pressure and tested taking blood pressure on my friends!

Norfolk Zoo
I got to go to the Norfolk Zoo with my sociology class thanks to Professor Lopez! We got to compare the different animals and their history to the three sociological theories. This was probably my favorite activity!

Chemistry Tutor
This room is a lifesaver! Room 146 in the Oceanography and Physics building is where Chemistry tutoring takes place. I got to meet Pooja! She helped me prepare for my exams and reviewed any questions I had. Every time I left I had a better and more clear understanding of Chemistry!

Girely and I reserved a study room to help us prepare for our chemistry exam! We were away from distractions and were able to review before the exam.

I met with an e-Portfolio assistant that assisted me and answered any questions I had on how to make my E-portfolio my own!
