JAPN 395

In the summer of 2020 I took JAPN 395 as an elective course. This was the first Japanese course I had taken outside of the introductory language courses and due to COVID it was also the first class I took online. In this class we reviewed a conjugation form each week, and we also kept a daily journal on google drive where we practiced new vocabulary and grammatical structures. While I learned how to type in Japanese in JAPN 212, my previous sensei allowed us to handwrite or type our homework assignments, so JAPN 395 was my first real experience with using my IME Japanese keyboard. Due to being a summer course, this class fit a lot of learning into a short timespan, but I believe my Japanese improved because it.

Here is an example of one of my journal entries.
