In reviewing the course objectives personally, I am intrigued by the processes through which people perceive and attempt to understand others. This can help me in the future to better understand what motivates and drives my patients and how I can effectively communicate with them. My expectations for this course are to achieve a high level of understanding about how behaviors of an induvial affects other people. Overall, I hope to gain as much knowledge about this subject matter that I can to make the most of my time and future opportunities. In order to ensure my success in this course I plan to implement proper studying strategies and tactics. For example, taking through and concise notes that highlight the main ideas of the course.

Growing up, my family really valued education and did their best to give me a good education. With that, I find myself as a very determined student. Once I find something that I truly have an interest in, there are very little things that can distract me. I am very head strong when I set my mind to something. My confidence level as a student can always improve since I firmly believe that there is always room to be and do better. Continuing my studies and finishing out my semester can definitely bring more confidence to me as a student.

I do believe that there is a connection between music and relationships. My girlfriend and I share similar music tastes which brings us closer together and it also gives us something to talk about. Sharing similar music tastes can always make a friendship/relationship grow stronger by providing a platform of connection since there are common interests. This also makes conversations flow easier and can create a more meaningful setting.

I thoroughly did enjoy this process because it helped me not only find the right answer to the question, but I learned why it was the right answer. I have a much better understanding on the subject now that I can put them together. This skill is very important to grasp because it is also another way to study and learn new material. This type of feedback is very helpful to understand my mistakes and grow to know what is the right one.

I believe that there is an underlying miscommunication between man and women. Women seem to have an abstract mindset and manage to calculate multiple things, incidents, emotions, and experiences. Men on the other hand, have more structured minds and processes that they can manage.

Breaking social norms stood out to me because the society that we live in now are all about breaking the normal standards. The world is becoming more inclusive and it is very important to understand and change what needs to be changed in order for everyone to feel safer and confident within themselves. Evaluating outer influences are also really important because with technology advancing, there are a lot of media sources and news that are incorrect. So with that, choosing what sources to believe and get news from is very important. The importance of self efficacy determines one’s work ethic. Having a high value for yourself as a worker can bring great success and accomplishments. This was also one of my takeaway assignments that made me really look more into it and I was able to reflect it back upon myself. One thing that I learned within this course that I am able to apply it in another course like anatomy was with my reflection on the importance of self efficacy. That class is very rigorous and it takes a lot of time in which I had to reflect back to this topic on self determination to continue to be encouraged to finish out strong with a passing grade.

I personally think that with the pandemic and personal obligations, I wish I had more time to give for school work. Being in the military and trying to balance out work, school, and personal life is very stressful especially during the pandemic. This class did teach me a lot of interesting things that I was able to reflect back upon myself in which I was grateful for. Something that I would’ve done differently if I were to take this course again would be to try and make more time to really engross myself into the subject. Unfortunately, I was unable to due to military obligations earlier within the semester. I have truly grown so much over the past academic months with the grace of my professors letting me make up work when I was away for orders. Some of them have truly shown great consideration and kindness towards my situation and I am very grateful for it. A skill that I have learned from this class to carry on to my professional life was to really break out the norms since it is very crucial now with how society seems to be moving. We must become more understanding and considerate of those around us, only then will the violence and hate be less.
