Observing PE/Health

I observed Mr. Jump in one of his PE and one of his health classes.  The physical education class that I observed was one in which the students calculated their heart rate in their journals, went outside and ran some laps around the track, and then participated in some activity of their choice that would keep them constantly moving.  The key takeaway I got from this lesson was to find ways to keep students constantly moving.   In the health lesson, the students worked on a bell ringer about health-related fitness components, then they filled out some pages in their journals about fitness, updated their performance-based assessments on Wellnet, and they started a PowerPoint project related to the components of health-related fitness.   During this lesson I got very familiar with the program Wellnet and what it can for students, parents, and administrators from a school district.
