Hello! My name is Adam Smith. My practicum observation was conducted at William H. Ruffner Academy with Mrs. Yolanda Penn. My decision to pursue a degree in Health and Physical Education didn’t become a reality until later in my life. I was an athlete all through school and this left me with the urge to become a coach. I was afforded the opportunity to coach for two years at Lake Taylor High School, but I still felt like I was missing something. Through volunteering at my children’s elementary school I finally found my calling, teaching children. Getting to spend time investing into the lives of children finally made me feel like I was doing what I was always called to do.
