Volleyball and Ruffner Handball lessons were made to continue with the theme and lessons from the Clinical teacher. William H. Ruffner Academy has a Turkeybowl every year before Thanksgiving that contains these two games to help student morale and involvement. Several things did not work during these lessons. The other teachers often found that they needed to interject into the lesson or redirect student behavior. Often the students were made to be seated and remain quiet for a period of time. I would separate my class next time from the other classes and just have my one smaller class so that I would have autonomy to teach the lesson.
