I attended a PTA meeting on November 1st. I observed the interactions with the teachers and parents as they discussed uniform policies within William H. Ruffner Middle school. The administration would like for students to begin wearing dress shirts with neck ties or bow ties. This would be a shift from the usual polo attire the students wear now. Each grade also has there own color 8th grade being white, 7th grade is yellow, and 6th grade is blue. The new dress shirt attire would still have to follow these guidelines. Many parents expressed concern over cost.
