Emily Renzoni is the current President of HPSA. She is a 3rd year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. Abby Braitman. She is currently interested in studying health outcomes surrounding substance use in emerging adults. Currently she is interested in focusing on the effects of drinking interventions delivered to subgroups on college campuses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kendra Rigney<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kendra Rigney is the current Vice-President for HPSA. She is a 3rd year PhD student in the Health Psychology Concentration. She is mentored by Dr. Sarah Ehlke. Her research interests focus on cannabis use and disordered eating, specifically among sexual and gender minority populations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mikaela Honeycutt<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mikaela Honeycutt is the current Treasurer for HPSA. She is a 2nd year PhD student in the Health Psychology Concentrations. She is mentored by Dr. Matt Henson. Her research interests focus on psychosocial & cognitive factor associations with risky health behaviors in sexual and gender minority relationships. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jeff Gabelmann<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jeff Gabelmann is the current Health Student Representative for HPSA. He is a 4th year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. Michelle Kelley. Jeff is a U.S. Navy veteran and is interested in studying military and veteran populations, specifically reducing negative health outcomes such as moral injury and suicidality, as well as promoting human performance, through factors such as mindfulness, resilience, grit, emotion regulation, and stress management.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Ayala Guzman<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rachel Ayala Guzman is a 5th year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. Abby Braitman. Rachel is currently interested in studying health behaviors among emerging adults, particularly how and why college students may be engaging in risky behaviors (e.g., using alcohol) as a form of coping with certain stressors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Stephen Hanson<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stephen Hanson is a 5th year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. James M. Henson. His research interests are centered around novel tobacco products. Specifically, Stephen is interested in community determinants of e-cigarette use like retailer density, urbanity, and advertisement exposure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Amy Collier is a 1st year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. Abby Braitman. She is currently interested in studying health outcomes of who are sexual and gender minority emerging adults who use alcohol. She is also interested in the health disparities that exist between young adult populations in receiving treatment for alcohol use disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Zhanna Mizgina<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zhanna Mizgina is a 1st year PhD student in the Health Psychology programs and is mentored by Dr. Michelle Kelley. She is passionate about working on interventions that help to eliminate negative outcomes related to PTSD and moral injury among veterans and military populations. She is focused on developing new ways to reduce ruminative thoughts and coping with emotions related to stress. The Curiosity concept is one of her interests, which examines how to help people thrive and stay motivated throughout their life span.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Moco<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daniel is a 1st year PhD student in the Health Psychology program and is mentored by Dr. James Paulson. He is interested in researching video games’ roles outside of entertainment in modern society (research settings, education, therapy, families). Currently, he is researching the relationship between gaming identity and parenting identity in expecting and early families.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
