Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy relates to my life because he explains the five needs that every human needs. I can relate to his system because I use these needs every day. these needs consist of Physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness and love need, esteem needs, and self-fulfillment needs. I can say about myself that I use all five of these needs throughout my daily life and the most sufficient need I use daily is basic and physiological needs. I say this because I am a freshman in college right now and I have to depend on and venture out myself to make sure I eat, drink, and where I lay my head down at. using what my parents taught me I need to be able to communicate very well and be responsible for my safety by watching my surroundings and know what resources I can use in need of help. Second, a need that I tend to rely on every day is my relationships with my loved ones because life can put me in a whole that I need to crawl out of and every time I need to express any feelings, I know I can go to my parents, siblings, and friends for the reassurance to keep me on the right path. third need would include my self-esteem of feeling the enjoyment of what I accomplished that includes scoring high on a high-stake test, or doing something for another person that is in need of my help boosts my character and maturity level of how I represent myself. Lastly, the big need I can relate to is the self-fulfillment need that I have experienced at an early age and having to realize what got me where I am now. I have made many smiles appear on my loved ones for accomplishing the hard that I encountered throughout my life and making sacrifices as an athlete that led my team and I to winning a state championship as well as an activity purpose. I really look up to Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy as a guide that follows on how to be successful and what other people may need as an indicator to their life just as much as I can relate it to mines.
