How I think the media influences our understanding of cybersecurity is by using some real-life situations that happened years ago but bringing it into light years later in a film that relates to cybersecurity tactics. Also, the media uses systems that look familiar but uses them in a different way than how it is used in cybersecurity by displaying the codes and familiar programs that relate to cybersecurity as well. Another way media influences our understanding of cybersecurity is by using challenges that were faced in the real world and brought into light in a film such as the CTF challenge from 2012. The media shows many emotions from people during the challenge to describe how the CTF challenge can be in a room full of people that relates to cybersecurity and what to expect from these challenges. The media also displays realistic steps that come from cybersecurity and what process the person went through to find the solution that relates to cybersecurity. The media shows computer software advantages that are used in cybersecurity today that helps break down the issue in order to solve it. the media shows how criminals get into systems and their process of finding how to hack into a system that cybersecurity explains and how to solve this issue. the media shows organizational networks that are used in cybersecurity and how they run. The media displays unique commands and codes that relates to cybersecurity as well that people never know about that are used in cybersecurity. the media displays and uses unique wording that cybersecurity can relate to as well and it shows how situations are handled from start to finish, that mostly in cybersecurity are the steps of finding out how to solve an issue in the system.
