MY Effective Reflection
When I first started with lingo learning I learned Spanish overall very fast and easily with it being from Spanish’s adjectives, Spanish’s alphabet, letters, etc. I’d say one thing that I had to work on and that hindered me was I still subconsciously read and take in everything eg, ish instead of learning. I had to give myself the patience to learn and pronounce my words. I noticed out of the modules and assessments I struggled with the ser and estar terms portion of Spanish the most I was confused why their where so many terms that correlated with I, are, you are in a sentence After studying and practicing on lingo learning I eventually understood how to use them in sentences.
Artifacts
These screenshots represent what I was mentioning above. I took a module and as you can see my score is pretty bad nut what I used was the estar – ser terms that were in the lingo learning folder. I also got better at this section of Spanish because I understood and comprehended Spanish all better than I did when I started the course. As you can see I started answering the second try around after I studied more on the terms. I also corrected an ]answer that I struggled with the first time I tried .
Depending on the sentence I’ve learned it is the subject referring to someone, to yourself, or to something. Estar is talking a bout a person, place or thing, and ser is describing a person, place . or thing. What helped me a great deal was this Estar and ser grammar chart I found on google which addressed everything I was confused on and helped me use the terms right.

exploring cultures
I’d say my opinion and outlook on Spanish culture haven’t changed I’ve already been around and experienced growing up in El paso, Texas which is right by the border and has a huge Mexican- Spanish speaking population. I went to schools like in Texas where you had Spanish and English co-ed classes so everything was repeated in Spanish all the time with it being numbers, days of the week, and class announcements. I say this class gives me nostalgia for a little bit of when I lived in Texas. Therefore I’ve seen a lot within Spanish cultures with food and language is nothing is shocking or foreign to me. The only thing to say that has changed is that I am more confident in my Spanish a lot more than I used to.
Engaging in Communities
I have no pictures of or anything of me engaging in any community activities but I would say I educate myself on what’s going on in society especially in times where in right now. I feel that its important to be aware, concerned, and educated on things going on like for example police brutality. Id say I’m very educated and have a lot of insight on it because I’m an Black American which is important for me to understand but for mt to educate others around me via my peers, sibling, and etc. . I educate myself with subjects that only affect me but I educate myself so I know how tog o about situations or at least be a helping hand to someone else that endangered.
Interpersonal Communication
These assignments such as oral audio assignments, quizzes and discussion boards helped me and educated me on Spanish language and culture. Audio assignments often were thing that were went over in modules and were recoding to for to understand and see if students were paying attention or remembered. the audio assignments of Spanish aught how to to pronounce al lot of words, the discussion boards taught me about Spanish culture and traditions such as Spain’s infamous traditions such as La Tomatina. In the discussion board I found out it was tomato that all over everyone in the festival and not blood. When I was younger I thought it was a festival where people bathed in blood and stuff like that . The festival is for participants throw tomatoes and get involved in a tomato fight purely for entertainment purposes. Things that id do next time around differently is to be more patient and knowing that learning another language take s time and afford.

Presentational Speaking
These assignments where module conversations with he professor. The video’s were pre recorded conversations that the professor would use for the students to formulate and start a conversation using the right words in Spanish. It took very long to get a recording right,. I know next time not to rush and to be in sync as well as on times with responding. Also studying multiple rounds , I felt that I didn’t practice English when it came to presentation speaking and that id stumble over last minute words due to me being nervous and lacking confidence with me pronouncing and suing words right in Spanish’s sentences.
