- During my observation will be walking around and checking off things mentally. I don’t want to be walking around with a clip board in my hand. However, I will be taking notes on my phone. I have met with the director of Juvenile Service and I have got permission to engage in some of activities that go on in the program. I am allowed to see all aspects of the program. The observation will allow me to see the day to day interaction between the participants and the staff?
- I will be interviewing the staff members and some of the participants. I have already interviewed the director and gained some insight into the program. I would like to know their personal experiences with the program. The questions for the participants will focus on their experiences with the program. The questions will also be self reflective. The questions for the staff will be about their thoughts about the program and how it could possibly be better for them and the participants.
Staff Questions:
- How does the program engage the community and families of the participants? Has this been a positive thing for the participants?
- Is there a follow up process after to 30-60 days, if so, how is it done?
- How does the program deal with participants who reject the services of the program?
- Which service(s) has been the most effective in helping the participants take accountability and show positive development?
- What would you like see improved with this program?
- How does the program make sure the objectives are being implemented in the program?

- What activities do you most enjoy?
- Have you created bonds with the participants and staff members?
- How to do you see this program benefiting you in getting on the right path?
- Can you see yourself using these life skills to help you not come back into the program?
- What has been the most challenging part in being in this program?

- What activities do you believe is benefitting you in this program?
I will not be providing surveys as a way to obtain data.
