Exploring Culture
In Spanish class, I learned more about Spanish cultures such as the countries and their own language. Also in Spanish class, I learned about La Siesta. Siestas are pretty much known for a certain time in a day in Spain that will notify everyone that everything will start to shut down to let people go home and nap in the middle of the day. I also learned about the different countries in Spanish culture. The Universidad San de Quito (USFQ) is a little more organized. It is straightforward. It does show the campus on the front page and it does have a lot of sports that I would not think of.

In the United States, we do not use las siesta. Learning more about the Spanish culture helped me understand the values and attributes because it is hard to understand the language but now I know about the Spanish background and its grammar. The Spanish community is a little cheaper like colleges would want the students to work to pay off while attending classes. Unlike the United States, the Spanish community helps the students to advise them to pay off their tuition and their tuition is a lot cheaper because they do not have dorms and all the other expenses. It opened my eyes to the community.
Engaging in Communities
I do instacart for the people that don’t have time to shop. Instacart is is a company that operates a grocery delivery and pick-up service in the United States and Canada.

Interpersonal Communication
In our discussion board assignments, we did reflections on other people’s videos on lingro learning. I believe in protect 2 we had to interview our classmates and switch the roles up. Then after that comment on other people’s videos and what we learned from them.
Presentational Speaking
In Spanish class, we did two interviews. The first interview was with our other classmates. The questions that we asked were how are you, where are you from, where you study, how many classes you taking this semester, and what is your favorite class.
In the video of the interview in project 2, I had some feedback from other classmates. Some say I did good but I needed to slow down when I talk and say my words louder. In the interview with my professor, I needed to study more vocabulary. Also, I need to conjugate words. For the videos in projects 2 and 4, I did really well with grammar. The next time I do videos, I will speak louder and clearer.
Presentational Writing
We wrote compositions to write about ourselves. Down below, I do have a composition I did that was due in Spanish class called project one. Also, we did do a lot of conversar in lingro learning. That’s also down below as well.

After the assignment on the composition, I needed to study more on my vocab. I need to just focus on the flow of writing in Spanish and putting the right pronunciation on different words such as the days of the week or numbers. So I did and it got easier the next composition about ourselves.
Interpretive Listening
After the assignment on the interview, I have received feedback on it. First, I need to study my vocab more. The next thing that my teacher said was to get an idea and look at the hand gestures from the videos she had shown us. During the videos, I had to listen to my classmates and interoperate on what they are saying. During those interviews, I had to decide which conversations were the informal and formal conversations.
In most interviews, my classmates were talking smoothly and using hand gestures. Nothing was really challenging for me. I overcame it by studying my vocabulary and practicing saying words. The hand gestures were a great takeaway.
Interpretive Reading
In class, we had interpretive reading all the time. We read out loud paragraphs one by one and the teacher will correct us if we say a word wrong. There is a lot of interpretive reading in aplicar and that’s in lingro learning. I have an example of that down below.

Nothing was unclear or challenging for me. I just sta=duied on a lot of vocab. I found most interesting about this section, where we had to name the different things in a classroom in unit 4. I have taken a lot of vocab in this section which is a great takeaway. I have grown after this assignment.
