Davin Teo describes that he was put into digital forensics after trying out IT. Teo was an accountant and was offered an IT position, which at the time would have been fairly normal as there wouldn’t have been much formal IT education or many people looking for IT positions. He continued doing accounting while being interested in IT and got a position at a large accounting firm. While there he got an email about the first national digital forensic practice in Australia.

That is a very interesting way to get from accounting to digital forensics. From a small position doing accounting, to dabbling in IT, then getting a position at a large firm, to then an opportunity to be the first of something is incredible.
