My skill in programming has developed further as a result of taking these courses at Old Dominion University. I had some previous experience in the languages covered in both of these courses, Python and Java, from high school. My ability to write useful code was expanded in the Basic Cybersecurity Programming and Networking course when we learned to work with files and networking sockets. The Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming course taught me to design more complex systems in smaller parts, namely objects. I believe that I would be able to work with code in the workplace.
