Why did you choose this as your Parallel Major? What interests you about this major? I chose Health Service Administration because it was one of my top choices and it still had to do with the healthcare service. After looking more into this major I realize it may be a good fit for me because health administrators get to “plan, direct, and coordinate” as well as “manage facilities, specific clinical areas and practices for groups of physicians.” Which are all things I am good at and I like to do. It is a leadership position which I have had experience in. This major can help me be ,ore into the business side as well as the health side which i would enjoy.
List some interesting facts about this major. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand in this field is expected to grow by 20% between now and 2026. Responsibilities might include budget planning and implementation, program development and evaluation, department activity and protocol coordination, and personnel management. Most health administrators work 40 hours a week, though there may be times that longer hours are necessary.

They plan, direct, or coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations. They make about 100k a a year while only needing for 4-6 years of schooling. They can manage either an entire facility, a specific clinical area or department, or a medical practice for a group of physicians. They mostly work in a hospital setting as well as nursing care facilities and with the government.
