Hello! My name is Lydia Robb, and I am currently a senior at Old Dominion University studying Cybersecurity. I\u2019ve built a strong foundation in security concepts and network fundamentals through coursework and hands-on labs, including penetration testing exercises in Kali Linux, vulnerability scanning, and Windows Server configuration. I enjoy the investigative side of cybersecurity, understanding how systems are exploited and how to prevent attacks, and I\u2019m especially interested in pursuing a career focused on cybercrime and digital forensics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My technical experience includes working with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and Windows\/Linux environments. I\u2019ve applied principles of access control, vulnerability assessment, and incident response to real world situations through academic labs and team projects. Beyond security tools, I bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills built through years of customer service and team management roles, where I learned the importance of communication, accountability, and problem-solving under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m actively involved in ODU\u2019s cybersecurity community as a proud member of Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) and the Cyber Security Student Association, where I continue developing both technical and professional skills. I am currently seeking a cybersecurity internship where I can contribute to security initiatives, expand my technical skill set, and gain practical industry experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, I\u2019m fascinated by how attackers think and motivated to be part of the teams who stop them. My long-term goal is to work in roles that investigate and mitigate cybercrime, helping protect individuals and organizations from emerging threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
