.) Home Server: Here is the dashboard of my home server. From here, I can access most of the aspects of my homelab. This took an understanding in linux, network/firewall policies, and containerization with docker.

.) Local LLM: I do not like big tech’s current push to shove AI into every aspect of life. It is obvious that they are desperate for people to use their AI platforms, as to not lose money on their investments. Using LLM’s locally though has been a great experience; not having my chats logged anywhere/sold. Here is an example of Deepseek 32b being ran over LAN.

,) DNS hole: DNS is a great tool to use over the network, but I do not like the idea of my traffic being potentially logged on DNS servers such as cloud flare. Part of my lab is a raspberry pi, whose entire job is to be a DNS hole. This allows me to dodge things such as ads across all devices on my home network.

.) NAS: I have established a NAS attached to my home server. It’s on tailscale, so it can be safely accessed over the WAN. I’ll never have to pay for cloud storage again, since all my devices have access to it. It is also in RAID, in the event one of the drives that I am using fail so that all of my data is not lost.

.) Academic Success: I don’t have any “awards” to show. I work full time and consistently have been taking 4-5 class semester. What I do have to show is a consistent track record of good academic performance, as well as taking my work seriously. I plan to knock out my certifications over this summer after I graduate, and get my funds up.
