CET 220 – Strength of Materials

I became familiar with the mechanical properties of engineering materials and developed the skills to analyze axial members for stresses and strains. I also applied the force and compatibility methods to analyze statically indeterminate members. The course covered the determination of torsional stresses and strains in shafts, as well as the calculation of section properties for analyzing flexural and transverse shear stresses in beams. I also analyzed members under combined load effects and calculate plane stress transformations. In addition to technical skills, the course emphasized the development of analytical and communication skills necessary for studying these topics.

Below is the final exam that covers all the topics from this course.
