The connection between disciplines addressing entrepreneurship at ODU is that they provide an opportunity to link the multiple disciplines and be able to use them in an approach that is most productive. An entrepreneurship uses the design thinking model as the startup point of an innovation. The desing thinking project combines both disciplines and creates new advances using both the technological side and human processes. An entrepreneurship never uses one skill without the other. An entrepreneurship is interdisciplinary and diverse hence, both backgrounds and experiences can be combined to problem solve and offer solutions, either one could be used to connect dots in different patterns of discovery.
3.How is failure good?
Success is built through experiences and within those experiences come failure, without failure we would never gain wisdom about certain topics and allow us to climb the ladder to success. Failure is difficult to manage however, it is never fatal. Instead, it gives us the opportunity revaluate a situation and return with improved concepts.
4.What have I learned from failing?
I’ve learned that failing does not necessary mean that you must quit something. Instead, it provides an opportunity for growth and overcome the many challenges that life brings. The worst thing a person can do is not taking the risk to anything, risk is what helps us shape our development. Stepping out of our comfort zone help us acquire wisdom and continue to advance in different aspects of life.
5.What ethical issues might arise related to what I am working on?
I am working on a cyber security idea to implement a password less logon, I am proposing this idea because I work in a financial company that requires me to use several computer systems and every one of them requires a password. Not only it requires me to login to several programs but also times out frequently. I believe production could be improved if a device was created to store all the passwords in one place. My only problem with the idea is that I don’t know how It would include people with disabilities. We live in an era of digital divide because technology advances too quickly, it excludes many social groups as the disabled. This is an ethical problem because everyone should be treated equally without looking at any conditions. Everyone should be taken in account in every aspect of life. Hence, I must find a way for the product to include everyone.
