We asked template-user faculty to share course materials they designed after the showcase ePortfolio workshop. The sample artifacts below demonstrate how some faculty introduced, assigned, and evaluated the template and ePortfolios in their classes.<\/p>\n
Sample Syllabus Language:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Writing Portfolio:<\/b> You will create a showcase ePortfolio via a WordPress template in this class, and you will publish\/submit this portfolio as your final exam. It \u00a0will contain both of your polished writing projects and an in-depth course reflection, along with any other work that you feel relevant to creating a viable online professional identity. Thus, your work, as well as your username or other personally identifying information may be publicly available as a result. While the purpose of this final assignment is to engage with technology as a means for representing the content we cover in class, please see me for alternative procedures if you object to potentially sharing your account, name\/username, or other content you create with this technology.<\/span><\/p>\n This class is taking part in a pilot program for ePortfolios via ODU\u2019s IDW Action Project. As such, your work will be shared with the IDW team \u2013 not for the purposes of evaluation, but rather for the purposes project assessment. You will also be asked to complete a survey about your learning experiences as well. Though your ePortfolio will be shared with the study, it is ultimately yours, and it is my sincere hope that you will take this portfolio with you and add to it and\/or change it as you see fit.
