There isn’t a solid opinion or vote that wins the majority of the time. In a room of 10 random sport’s fans, you never know what that voted count could look like. A lot of the time, the older fan’s, which actually witnessed Jordan’s greatness tend to say Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time, and the fans born in the 2000’s march together for Lebron’s vote. There are many of factors that play a part in this vote. The pure skill/talent of the player, the all around ability of the player, the wins and titles which the player has equipped, and the longevity. Some fans that argue for Jordan’s vote say, “How can Lebron be the goat if MJ was his idol.” Those kind of comments have no value and go off track in my opinion. What makes the comparison so difficult to bring to closure is the differences between the two player. MJ was more of a score first kind of guy and played for good defense while Lebron is a past first guy who can score if needed to.

LeBron Vs MJ in PER postseason finals runs

1. 2018 LBJ: 32.2
2. 1991 MJ: 32
3. 2014 LBJ: 31
4. 2012 LBJ: 30.3
5. 2020 LBJ: 30.2
6. 2017 LBJ: 30.1
6. 1993 MJ: 30.1
8: 2016 LBJ: 30
9. 2013 LBJ: 28.1
9. 1998 MJ: 28.1

(@bball_ref) pic.twitter.com/RQo64O2k7Q
— LeBron Facts (@BronStats) August 9, 2022

The awareness and focus all at once is incredible. https://t.co/BO1CP2D19V
— Imo Essien (@ImoEssienComm) October 22, 2022

MJ vs LeBron honest comparison

Scoring: MJ
Mid range: MJ
3PT: MJ
Finishing: Tied
Defense: MJ
Free throws: MJ
Athleticism: MJ
Passing/Playmaking: LeBron
Rebounding: LeBron pic.twitter.com/3AvxFvd5xq
— All NBA (@FactNbamuse) September 1, 2022

Of course, these kind of posts are al opinionated and can be argued forever.

Year 20 for him looks like year 2 for others. https://t.co/wAWUNBJNsB
— Imo Essien (@ImoEssienComm) October 22, 2022

To me, this is the biggest push for Lebron to be considered the goat. To play at this high of a level at such an age and point in career is absolutely remarkable. He has treated his body with care from the beginning of his career and it paid off. His athleticism hasn’t feel of too much. At 37 years old, he is still considered one of the best players in the entire league.

My approach was for this blog posts was to play the role of a obsessive MJ vs Lebron debate analyzer. To do so, I had to use posts about comparing the two and posts about what both did/do as individuals.

MJ vs Lebron One of the most popular debates in all of sports history is the Lebron vs MJ debate.
