Writing Reflection Two

Since doing my first reflection on my writing overall, I believe I have become a better writer and I’m also a more confident writer. I’m doing well so far in the class and if I end up catching up the quizzes that are due, I’m confident I’ll do well in the class. In my 2nd essay I was happy to see I improved and fixed some of the mistakes I mentioned I make in my first reflection. In essay two one of my strengths was essay structure. I mentioned in my first reflection that I had a weakness with structuring my essays and in my second essay I did a better job. Another weakness I mentioned I had in my first reflection was improper punctuation. In my second essay and my journals since then I’ve done a better job, but I’m still making more punctuation mistake than I would like so I’ll continue working on it. The reason I believe I’m making punctuation mistakes still is because I’m typing the essay or journal, skimming it, and turning it right in instead of carefully sitting down and rereading my work completely and finding the mistakes before turning it in. I have looked over and reviewed the rubric for the Writing Sample Placement Test, and I understand what is needed for me to pass and move on the English 110. I also, feel very confident that with the improvements I’ve already made so far in the semester I could pass the test but until then I’ll work on my writing skills and continue to get better. A big reason I’m moving forward and becoming a better writer is because I’m taking the peer reviews seriously and also taking the chance to ask questions and really making sure I understand the errors in my writing when I have met with my professor during one-on-one discussions.
